2. Destinations on the "Central Heritage Journey"
Hai Van Pass
On the journey to explore the heritage of Central Vietnam, there is a special relic that is crystallized by the beautiful natural landscape created by nature and the talent of the ancient Vietnamese people. It is the only National Historical and Architectural Monument owned by two localities, Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang.
On a sunny day at the top of Hai Van Pass, looking Northward, one can see the rolling hills and mountains with white clouds floating by, with the scenic Lap An Lagoon and Lang Co fishing village in the distance, like a beautiful painting. Looking Southward, visitors can see the entire panorama of Da Nang City, Tien Sa Port, Son Tra Peninsula, and the Cham Islands, with the long stretches of golden sand hugging the vast, blue sea.
Even more fascinating is driving along the winding mountain pass, with the blue sea always present in the view, sometimes stretching out to the horizon, sometimes very close, gently lapping and shimmering in deep blue. At certain sections of the pass, visitors can stand and look down at the serpentine road they have just traversed, which is truly breathtaking.
Lap An Lagoon - A dreamlike realm
Lap An Lagoon is located next to the Phu Gia Bridge (on National Highway 1A, passing through Lang Co Town, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province). With an area of 800 hectares, nature has bestowed upon this place not only a sinuous road winding around the lagoon like a soft silk ribbon but also a rich and unique aquatic ecosystem.
Nestled at the foot of the legendary Hai Van Pass, sheltered by the majestic Bach Ma mountain range, and harmonizing with the cool, crystal-clear waters of Lang Co Sea, the scenery of Lap An is one of serene, peaceful, and dreamlike beauty, long likened to a celestial realm amidst the mortal world.
Lap An Lagoon is most beautiful during the twilight hours, captivating countless visitors, and even those who forget to bring a camera will find themselves longing to capture the exquisite moments of natural wonder. Therefore, regardless of your mode of transportation, if you can stop or visit this place, it will certainly be a valuable addition to your exploration of Vietnam's natural beauty.
Lang Co Station
During the journey, the trains will stop at Lang Co Station for 10 minutes, allowing visitors to admire the beauty, take photos, and check in at Lang Co Bay - one of the most beautiful bays in the world, as well as to appreciate the beauty of Lap An Lagoon from a new perspective on the railway, which is worth experiencing.
